BICA School presents Fragments of Larry Bell a show of works by the artist made c. 1976–1996. This is the inaugural show of the newly instituted studio+gallery, BICA Lab at 30 C Essex Street as well as the BICA School Project Space inside The Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art main gallery space.

Lawrence “Larry” J. Bell (1940-2000) was an artist and art educator who created a vast catalog of work, largely mixed media collage. Not be confused with well-known artist Larry Bell (b. 1939), Buffalo’s Larry honed a unique style that valued the redundancy of process in creating abstract works out of familiar objects.
