Silas Rubeck: And Light Meant God

Opening Reception Friday April 25, 5-8pm (coincident with Huidi Xiang: maxim of the tomato)

04.25.25 – 05.17.25

And Light Meant God explores the connection between sight, consciousness, and theology. Positing that the sun and light as a whole encompasses so much of our understanding of the perceived world that it is in alignment with the basis of our understanding of a God, a benevolent presence which gives shape to the unknowable universe. We have dismembered what was once called "God" and put all of its eyes into every street lamp and phone flashlight.
